FastCasual’s annual “20 Brands To Watch” focuses on 20 brands that are setting trends. Nominations close Aug. 22.

Just a few months ago, we celebrated the annual Fast Casual Top 100 Movers & Shakers, which recognizes the industry’s most innovative companies. Now it’s time to honor 20 emerging brands that boast the potential to become major players.

In its fourth year, FastCasual’s annual “20 Brands To Watch,” focuses on 20 brands that are setting trends on the menu or in customer experience, technology, operations, decor or ambiance.

To be considered, brands must have been founded within the last five years and have at least one brick-and-mortar location, food truck or ghost kitchen outlet.

Unlike the Top 100, there can be no repeats, so you’ll notice previous winners cannot make this list. We wouldn’t be surprised, however, to see a couple of these brands land on next year’s Fast Casual Top 100.
