NetWorld Alliance, a Louisville-based publisher of print and online publications, announced Thursday that it will co-produce an event aimed at companies that use self-service technologies.
The third annual event, called The Kiosk Show, will be held Oct. 7-8 in Boston. NetWorld Alliance will co-produce the show with Voyagi Inc., a St. Paul, Minn.-based communications company, according to a news release.
NetWorld Alliance purchased the rights to the show and two other kiosk-related media properties earlier this month from Voyagi for an undisclosed sum.
The event is produced for executives with companies that use or plan to use the electronic devices in their businesses. Kiosks are used to provide a wide range of self-service functions, including airline ticketing, hotel checkouts and digital photo processing.
“With self-service technology changing the way Americans work, shop, learn and do business, the potential for this industry is immense,” Dick Good, NetWorld Alliance’s CEO, said in the release. “By acquiring The Kiosk Show and Voyagi’s other properties, we feel better equipped than ever to help take it to the next level.”
