NetWorld Alliance LLC has acquired a key Web site for the electronic kiosk industry, the PeWee Valley-based Internet company said in a news release.
Kiosks.org, published on the Web by Craig Keefner of Minneapolis, will become a new Web portal for NetWorld, joining NetWorld’s existing Web site ATMmarketplace.com (formerly ATMmagazine.com), which logs more than 1.5 million hits a month, according to NetWorld. NetWorld also plans to launch an additional Web site, KIOSKmarketplace.com, in first quarter 2001.
Keefner will become a NetWorld senior vice president and a NetWorld principal, and continue to oversee the operations of kiosks.org.
NetWorld Alliance also recently completed a private offering and raised more than $1 million, primarily from local investors.
The company specializes in building and operating vertical Web communities for various industries.
