Since August of 2021, the Interactive Customer Experience Association has officially added 139 executives from consumer-facing brands to its membership. These new members represent a wide range of industries including restaurant chains, retail brands, financial service providers, hospitality, travel and entertainment.

Morgan Petty, recently-appointed executive director of the ICX Association, said the association is seeing a growth in membership from executives with CEO, CFO, marketing and operations job functions.

“It’s evident the development of customer experience strategies are expanding beyond the Customer Experience Officer title,” Petty said. “While executive management teams, including chief financial officers and chief marketing officers, have played a role in the evolution of the customer experience, they are now taking a more active role. We’re seeing department silos being broken down like never before. During our industry-specific peer groups, we are hearing from leaders in CX and their counterparts in marketing, operations, financial and executive management departments. This continually gives us a wider perspective and more holistic view of brands’ customer experience initiatives. This breaking down of silos is enabling more nimble and efficient advancements.”

New members will be invited to sit in on monthly industry peer group meetings to discuss top issues, innovation, opportunities, consumer behaviors and CX challenges within the private network. These members have the benefit of information from their fellow consumer behaviorist and technology provider members. The ICX Association will also act as an awareness engine to bring attention to the winning customer experiences being offered by brands. ICX Association members also have the opportunity to receive acknowledgement for their work on “winning” customer experiences during the Interactive Customer Experience Summit‘s #ElevateICX Awards segment. Active members may also have the opportunity to revolutionize the industry and the ICX Association’s coverage of CX initiatives as a member of the ICX Association Advisory Board.
