Roland Gonzalez, the U.S. COO of Church’s Texas Chicken, will be the first guest on this year’s #QSRNEXT, a virtual podcast produced by the creators of QSRWeb, FastCasual and Pizza Marketplace. The show goes live Nov. 13.
Katerina Glyptis, the president of Tim Hortons U.S., will close out the show during her segment, “Tim Hortons: Brewing Success in the U.S.,” where she’ll discuss the Canadian brand’s expansion into the U.S. market. Globally, the chain has over 7,000 locations with over 600 in the U.S. Glyptis, who joined the team last year, plans to hit 1,000 by 2028. She’ll discuss with the show’s host Cherryh Cansler, editor of FastCasual, how she’s creating brand awareness to drive franchise development.
Gonzalez, who joined Church’s Texas Chicken in early 2023, will talk about his journey from Burger King’s parent company RBI to Virtual Dining Concepts and how he ended up as COO for Church’s. He’ll also discuss how to conquer the challenges he and other brands face in the QSR industry, especially during times of inflation and labor shortages.
He’ll also reveal the importance of strong communications, how to ensure efficiency and effectiveness for restaurant teams and what’s next for Church’s Texas Chicken on the operations front.
The virtual talk show, which is free for restaurateurs, also features C-level leaders from White Castle, A&W, Taco John’s, FAT Brands, Haven Hot Chicken, The Halal Guys and Smalls Sliders.
