James Carville and Mary Matalin, Washington D.C.’s most high-profile political couple, will bring a fiery conversation about how Washington is affecting the restaurant industry to the 8th annual Fast Casual Executive Summit, Oct. 13-15 in New Orleans. The Summit brings together CEOs and other high-level executives of fast casual restaurant brands — big and small — for networking opportunities and educational sessions to help them grow their brands.
“After last year’s amazing event, we knew we had to bring in something big to keep impressing our attendees, so we knew Carville and Matalin were a perfect choice to keynote,” said Cherryh Butler, hostess of the event and editor of FastCasual.com, the online magazine that not only covers the fast casual industry, but also produces the Summit.
Attendees of the Fast Casual Executive Summit will enjoy an exclusive Sunday evening Q&A session and a post-discussion cocktail party with Carville, an unbowed liberal and Matalin, a celebrated conservative voice. The two experts will answer questions and give commentary on a variety of hot-button issues that affect restaurant owners, including taxes, health care reform and other government regulations recently imposed, such as menu labeling.
Both Carville and Matalin are key players on the national political stage and each have more than 30 years of experience in politics and have combined worked for four U.S. Presidents: Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Matalin served as President George H.W. Bush’s campaign manager in 1992, while her soon-to-be husband, Carville, was Clinton’s campaign manager. Since then, they have frequently given their political analysis on CNN, Meet the Press, and other news programs.
Now they share their political opinions and affiliations—which haven’t merged despite matrimony—with audiences everywhere and provide a stimulating, candid and provocative analysis of today’s hot-button political issues from both sides of the political aisle. Carville and Matalin are the authors of the national best-seller, All’s Fair: Love, War, and Running for President.
Only senior level food service executives are qualified to attend the Fast Casual Executive Summit. Registration is now open at fastcasualsummit.com, and early-bird pricing is in effect.
