Elliot Maras has been named editor of Networld Media Group’s recently acquired publication, Vending Times, a role he will hold in addition to his existing role as editor of Kiosk Marketplace.

Elliot Maras has been named editor of Vending Times, a role he will hold in addition to his existing role as editor of Kiosk Marketplace, a position he has held since 2016. Kathy Doyle, president of Networld Media Group, named Maras to his new role shortly after Networld Media Group acquired Vending Times last week. Previous owner Alicia Lavay will join Networld Media Group as Brand Director.

Maras is no stranger to the industry as he previously spent 19 years as the editor of Automatic Merchandiser Magazine from 1993 to 2012.

“I am delighted to be back in the saddle in an industry I have known and loved for many years,” Maras said. “There are many synergies between the vending and kiosk industries. Both industries are expanding rapidly because of new technology.”

Maras will direct the editorial under Cherryh Cansler, VP of Editorial Services for all of Networld Media Group’s business sites.

Maras is a winner of the Journalism Award from the Office Refreshment Development Foundation, and is a former board member of the International Foodservice Editors Council. He’s a graduate of the National Automatic Merchandising Association/Michigan State University Executive Development Program.
