Mark the date — Sept. 11-13, 2023 — to network with peers, learn about retail innovations and get a firsthand look at the latest technologies driving customer experience in the retail environment.

The ICX Association’s annual official event, the Interactive Customer Experience Summit, presents a multitude of opportunities for brands, retailers and tech partners to network, share innovation strategies and help discover ways to deal with the many challenges inherent in the quest to deliver an extraordinary customer experience.

This year’s event, which is celebrating its seventh anniversary, is happening Sept. 11-13 in Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s taking place within the same timeframe, and location (the Weston Charlotte hotel and resort), of the annual Bank Customer Experience Summit which happens Sept. 12 to 13.

Here are three top reasons to attend what’s become a well-respected and well-attended CX industry event.

No. 1: Deep dive on CX tech

Hands-on, real time demonstrations of cutting-edge technology that can transform the customer experience. Top technology providers will offer demonstrations and deep insight on how CX solutions can prove invaluable to a brand’s successful CX strategy.

The list includes Stratifyd, which offers a connected intelligence solution that bridges the gap between insights and outcomes via a powerful engine that unifies all structured and unstructured data sources.

Code Factory SL will demonstrate its innovative voice interaction technology for self-service kiosks. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in the Barcelona area in Spain, Code Factory is committed to providing solutions that improve the way that people interact with technology.

Samsung Electronics America, a South Korean company that is one of the world’s largest producers of electronic devices, will be on hand to share insight on its wide range of digital media devices, semiconductors, memory chips and integrated systems.

Working Solutions will share insight on its virtual contact center technology and how it’s blending AI and intelligent AI agents to optimize CX operations.

No. 2: Keynote speakers

Invaluable insight will be available from top retail and brand leaders sharing on panels, keynotes and during the many networking sessions taking place in between talks and at social meet-and-greet opportunities.

One of the event’s keynotes will be presented by Mark Stutzman, CTO at Area15, who will speak on how data is being used to boost the customer experience and guest journey in the immersive entertainment industry.

No. 3: Expert insight, networking opportunities

The three-day ICX Summit will feature days of panel talks involving leaders across a spectrum of industries, from retail to hospitality to travel and restaurants. They’ll share what’s worked for them when it comes to customer experience and what they’re planning for the future.

Topics range from creating a more inclusive experience with panelists from apc and Hudson’s Bay to a deep dive look at the frictionless customer journey and identifying what’s fantasy and what’s fact. The latter panel will include leaders from Hilton as well as the Kansas City International Airport.

Another panel focuses on serving the Gen Z consumer and will also offer exclusive insight from an apc research study on the young consumer’s preferences as well as an on-stage focus group.
